    The HR team at Fellowes is evolving in the way we support and add value to our business. One key component to this evolution is the addition of a forward-thinking, creative and collaborative Senior Manager, Global Total Rewards. Reporting into the VP of Global HR, this individual will lead the charge on designing and executing new compensation and benefits strategies with a goal to attract and retain top talent.

     

    ROLE HIGHLIGHTS

     

    You will…

     

    • Be charged with designing, developing, administering and communicating our compensation, benefits and wellness programs as well as leading the HRIS and payroll teams, ensuring all plans are contemporary, competitive and in compliance
    • Build a strategy to strengthen the overall total rewards offering to attract and retain high caliber talent
    • Deliver high levels of service by responding accurately, efficiently and with urgency to employees, providers, brokers and other stakeholders
    • Lead a project that will transform our compensation philosophy and programs; to include implementing a new global grading structure, assessing and redesigning annual incentive programs including, but not limited to, sales compensation programs, as well as creating and driving a pay-for-performance culture
    • Lead executive compensation design and can develop compensation plans for unique positions in order to drive growth in the organization
    • Work collaboratively with all members of the HR team, demonstrating the ability to innovate, adapt and be flexible
    • Be responsible for the development and oversight of a dynamic team

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    While the scope of the role is primarily within the U.S., there will be some oversight of global compensation plans as we continue to globalize the HR function. The role is operational, analytical and strategic, and will require a “leader-doer” approach.

     

    Benefits

     

    • Ownership of the design and administration of all employee benefit programs including health & welfare plans, 401(k), life insurance, leave of absence, wellness and other voluntary programs
    • Make recommendations for implementing and/or modifying benefits programs based on the needs and best interests of business and employees within competitive total rewards practices
    • Collaborate with benefit brokers on annual renewals and make recommendations on new and existing benefit and wellness plans
    • Manage the quarterly Investment Committee (agenda, materials, working with broker, etc.)
    • Participate in area and industry surveys; analyze results of surveys and develop specific recommendations for review by management
    • Develop specifications for new plans or modify existing plans to maintain company's competitive position in labor market
    • Handle escalated benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution

     

    Compensation

     

    • Manage and administer all company compensation programs including executing global market surveys, analysis and reporting to support our overall compensation philosophy
    • Ensure that our compensation structures and processes are aligned with market trends; monitor salaries to address talent markets, internal and external equity, and talent retention
    • Ensure that employees understand our compensation programs through an effective communications strategy
    • Execute various compensation program re-design projects as dictated by business needs; to include high-level project management, partnering with appropriate internal and external resources, and ensuring that projects are on-time and on-budget, while achieving desired goals and objectives
    • Perform continuous overview around compensation practices, including job analysis and evaluation to include job grading, salary structure design and review, conduct and oversee the various compensation surveys and studies to maintain the company's competitive position within the market place
    • Ensure the administration of various compensation programs are compliant with established guidelines, processes and procedures; to potentially include programs such as incentive compensation, sales compensation, annual merit review cycle, geographic differential, shift differential, etc.
    • Work closely with Global VP of HR on preparation for Compensation Committee meetings

     

    Payroll/HRIS

     

    • Ensure weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll, as well as off-cycle adjustments and other authorized payroll transactions, are executed seamlessly by the Payroll team
    • Oversee HRIS Coordinator’s tasks of updating HRIS configuration as needed; setting up HRIS security, user access and workflow configuration, running reports and analytics as requested

     

    WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM

     

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5 - 8 years of professional experience in Human Resources with responsibility for Benefits and/or Compensation at both strategic and operational levels
      • Experience will include: managing and administering employee benefits and wellness programs, and payroll oversight; structuring a total rewards program; working with an HR database / HRIS; and knowledge and understanding of HR compliance and annual audit requirements (ERISA plans, EEO-1, FLSA and benefits and compensation practices)
    • Innovation, resourcefulness and solutions-oriented thought leadership with demonstrated strategic planning and decision-making skills
    • The ability to lead change and achieve goals through cross-functional collaboration, influence and business partnership
    • The ability to effectively translate data into actionable insights, strategies and programs
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to all levels in the organization including executive leadership
    • Self-directedness, diligence and a willingness to be a hands-on, working leader
    • The ability to work collaboratively across functions and obtain necessary “buy in” from stakeholders
    • Agility and the ability to manage in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
    • Impeccable judgment and the ability to uphold the highest standards of policy adherence, confidentiality, discretion handling confidential and/or sensitive information, and data protection
    • An openness to occasionally travel to other business locations, both domestic and international
    • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

     

    YOU MAY ALSO HAVE…

     

    • International benefits and/or compensation experience
    • An MBA or other graduate degree
    • SHRM-CP/SCP, CCP or CEBS accreditation
