    The Role


    As the Senior System Administrator, the subject matter expert on all aspects of the Exchange / Microsoft Office 365 / Cloud platform, you will architect, design, implement, maintain and administer the Microsoft Exchange and O365 applications/systems that drive the business needs. You will provide system, application and integration analysis to other departments to help achieve goals requested by the business, in addition to researching new technology that can improve business processes and add value to the company. 


    You will…


    • Design, manage and support Microsoft Exchange-based messaging systems in a hybrid configuration, which includes:
      • Exchange 2010/2016 On-Premise and Office 365 Exchange Online
      • OneDrive, Teams, Skype for Business, SharePoint, Azure, VPN, Enterprise application, AD connect and federation services
    • Monitor Office 365 service health, removal of user accounts and management of service requests
    • Ensure uninterrupted email and high availability
    • Manage Outlook Client configuration and troubleshooting
    • Ensure message journaling archiving and retention techniques
    • Oversee the System Center and Active Sync
    • Monitor the Exchange Database through consistency checks, setting free space thresholds and performance tuning
    • Employ Advanced Active Directory administration
    • Gather and assess business requirements, develop and present solutions, and produce design and migrating strategy
    • Collaborate with other infrastructure, networking, helpdesk, application and business teams
    • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Quickly troubleshoot incidents, determine root cause and find and implement solutions with documentation and preventive solutions
    • Develop relationships with key business stakeholders and act as a liaison between these leaders and the help desk and systems engineers
    • Support Citrix (XenApp / XenDesktop) and the Enterprise Vault
    • Assist call center technicians and systems engineer team on tier 3 issues
    • Be involved with Microsoft SCCM administration and troubleshooting
    • Assist in the development, implementation and testing of disaster avoidance and recovery policies and procedures


    What You Bring to the Team


    • A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Microsoft technologies, within a hybrid Exchange 2010/2016 / Office 365 Exchange Online environment OR a High School diploma and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Microsoft technologies, within a hybrid Exchange 2010/2016 / Office 365 Exchange Online environment
    • A thorough understanding of working principles and experience supporting Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS
    • Hands-on working experience with:
      • SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, MS Teams/Skype for Business, Office 365 Groups, Flow, PowerApps and Power BI 
      • Power Shell programming language
      • Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS)/Intune 
      • VMware, Windows Systems and network technologies
      • Load Balancer
      • Backup and recovery
      • Windows patching and server security hardening
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to interact with users of varying technical skill levels
    • The ability to work independently and without the need for supervision, as well as collaboratively within the team and across various IT groups and business units 
    • Strong project management, time management and prioritization abilities
    • Solid problem-solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
    • Outstanding customer service skills
    • Experience managing vendor relationships
    • The ability to quickly and professionally assess, resolve and document issues and resolutions
    • A continuous improvement mindset
    • Strong documentation skills, notably with educational materials to help ensure new technologies are successfully deployed to end users
    • The ability to adapt to changing technologies, new processes and requirements
