You will use CAD to create, evaluate, and revise product files/drawings and maintain product documentation for manufacturing and global team reference. This individual will also seek out improvement and cost reduction concepts on all products which will lead to strong product performance in the market.   In This Role, You will… - Provide mechanical engineering designs and support for New Product Development (NPD) and Continuous Product Development (CPD) by designing, prototyping, testing and debugging to support product initiatives across wide range of products. - Develop parts and product designs using 2D and 3D drawing skills and insuring products live up to all specifications and design intent.  - Support the project managers and teams by staying focused on key milestones on multiple projects and ensuring timelines are met. - Provide product documentation (bill of material, 2D/3D product drawings, DRILs, product specs, agency testing and engineering change orders) using our document storage platforms, providing mechanical design expertise from product launch through the end of a products’ life. - Support the ECO system with supporting documents, appropriate sample testing, cost-efficient releases and timely updates. - Stay current on new design and manufacturing technologies and theories to provide Fellowes with design applications with regards to current and future business categories.  - Work closely with the Fellowes’ global engineers and key OEM suppliers to assertively support and drive new and continuous product development projects. - Analyze test results, direct test methods, and provide critical thinking while actively participating in defective product reviews aimed at identifying root cause and corrective actions.   What You Bring to the Team - B.S. in Mechanical Engineering - Strong computer-aided design skills (preferably SolidWorks). - Self-starter with the ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously. - Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Thinks creatively, evaluates multiple solutions, and uses appropriate engineering principles during problem solving process. - Willing to use lab equipment, power, and hand tools to assemble product models and prototypes. - Strong work ethics and committed to delivering projects on time. - Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally on occasion.   Fellowes Brands - A Family Business Since 1917 For over a century, Fellowes has been committed to positively impacting people through our culture, relationships and solutions. You will interface with government officials, customs brokers, freight forwarders, internal/external legal counsel, customers, suppliers and customs agencies in the responsible regions and serve as a resource for Global Trade Compliance matters for Fellowes (management and employees of all levels). This role reports into our General Counsel.   We operate in a hybrid work environment that offers two remote days per week.   Expected travel for this role is up to 20%.   In This Role, You Will…  - Work with Operations and Supply Chain to develop an annual strategic plan consistent with the divisional business plan, marketing strategies, new technologies, outsourcing decisions and capital expenditures - Develop robust customs management processes as the company grows (short/mid/long term) and the supply chain expands - Perform global product classifications - Confirm or determine and maintain appropriate origin declarations/marking and trade/preference program qualifications (USMCA, LTSD, KORUS etc.) of imported product, components and parts - Determine global product duty rates, ultimately impacting customer pricing - Lead global implementation of any process changes needed to ensure that the business is fully compliant - Partner with government officials to support national security programs (C-TPAT, PIP, AEO, etc.) - Drive internal cross functional process improvements required to maintain status in qualified global programs - Serve as the company’s primary liaison with government agencies relative to import and export control - Analyze applicability and develop mitigation strategies to implement, including duty drawback, Free-Trade-Zones, reconciliation, first sale, etc. - Develop and present internal compliance training; conduct regulatory compliance audits and develop and maintain associated databases, reports and documentation to ensure compliance with customs laws and regulations - Identify and outline other government agencies' requirements for import (example EPA) - S.-specific duties to include import compliance, export compliance, and working knowledge utilizing ACE for export filing, duty reporting and responses to CF28 and CF29 requests   What You Bring to the Team - A minimum of 8 years’ experience in import and export compliance, duty drawback, customs entry processes and regulations - A highly developed level of business process knowledge of international transport operations including: regulations and compliance, Cross Border compliance, C-TPAT certification, CBP compliance, documentation and negotiations, Freight Forwarding and transport modes - A proven ability to perform HTS classification on components and finished goods - Experience with Free Trade Agreements (FTA) declarations and certificates - Past experience with assists - Solid knowledge and understanding of global customs laws and regulations - Experience interacting with customs brokers and freight forwarders - Highly organized, analytical and a great attention to detail - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - The ability to influence without authority, especially in leading cross-functional teams   You May Also Have… - A U.S. Customs Brokerage License is a plus, but not required - Oracle experience is a plus   Fellowes Brands - A Family Business Since 1917 For over a century, Fellowes has been committed to positively impacting people through our culture, relationships and solutions. As an Entry Level Junior Planner/Buyer you will support the supply chain for various product lines, maximizing speed to market, efficiency, and cost management. You will be responsible for managing suppliers, company assets, and service levels to maximize R.O.I. Managing MRP to identify order requirements, expedites, and de-expediting of materials based on business needs.   You will... - Execute MRP plan to ensure Key Performance Indicator objectives are met. - Place POs and ensure PO acknowledgement from suppliers. - Maintenance of POs to ensure accurate receipt dates and track supplier on time delivery. - Execute planning parameters to ensure that system performance is maximized. - Establish and maintain planning attributes. - Work closely with production to ensure material availability to support production plan. - Develop forecasts based on annual usage. - Manage supplier relationships. - Responsible for new supplier set up and keeping supplier information current. - Pull vendor performance data and determine violations and actions. - Participate in negotiations, identify and document cost changes. - Assimilate quotes for analysis. - Manage defective product returns and ensure appropriate supplier action. - Execute discontinued inventory process and work to minimize scrap, slow moving, and excess inventory. - Support new product development process ensuring SKU/item set up, determine minimum order quantities (MOQs), issuing initial production run PO, and meet timelines. - Ensure timely payment of invoices. - Resolve receiving discrepancies, invoice discrepancies, supplier payment issues. - Track and formally document cost increases for accurate margin analysis. - Use independent judgment to research detail, and arrive at a recommended solution. - Meet or Exceed S&P objectives.
