Work with cross-functional teams to meet quality, cost and timing deliverables. - Partner with US and China engineering teams to establish packaging specifications for new products and revisions, ensuring manufacturing feasibility - Create structural packaging designs as well as product and packaging costings based on parameters provided. Provide recommendations and guidance to cross-functional team regarding packaging materials and performance expectations, which includes strategic consideration for global sustainability requirements and trends. - Develop specifications and assist in building inspection plans for all sourced product and packaging - Maintain engineering documentation by creating drawings, documenting revisions and ensuring timely upkeep of active and inactive files - Participate in manufacturing process reviews to ensure product conformance to established specifications, efficient conversion rates and recognition of cost saving opportunities - Work directly with suppliers, communicating product specifications to support outsourcing of Supply Chain components - Coordinate and purchase tooling as required by new and revised products - Lead the technical assessment and development of the new product propositions. - Recommend and lead implementation of changes to existing products to improve performance and/or lower costs, while partnering with production team to optimize manufacturability What You Bring to the Team - A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in packaging design and development - A Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Master's degree is a plus. - Experience working with a range of packaging materials, such as films, corrugated, paperboard, pallets, paper trays, EPE, etc. - Strong technical knowledge and skills with Solidworks CAD & (ArtiosCAD) ability use PDM is a plus - An outgoing, friendly and collaborative attitude, with a motivation to stay on top of the latest technologies, materials and trends in the packaging space - The ability to multi-task and communicate effectively throughout the organization, across multiple teams and global business teams - A hands-on approach; able to visualize objects in 3D; create prototypes from various materials, using internal/external resources - Regular use of CNC Cutting table for prototyping and validating packaging - Exceptional project management skills - Ability to prioritize projects of varying scope across several business teams - Strong team skills and a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal direction - Willingness to participate in overseas travel if needed – rarely anticipa - Willing to participate in domestic travel 3 – 4 times per year  Fellowes Brands - A Family Business Since 1917 For over a century, Fellowes has been committed to positively impacting people through our culture, relationships and solutions.
